1. Purpose
These Terms of Service (the Terms) define the terms and conditions for using the Lost & Found service, available at lostnfound-app.com.
Lost & Found is an automated monitoring service that uses AI visual recognition to help users locate stolen or lost items across the indexable web and, if they choose, share certain searches publicly through a dedicated link.
2. Acceptance of the Terms
By using Lost & Found, you fully accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, you must not use the service.
ProStrike may update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of any changes by email or via a notification on the site. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
3. Access conditions
To use Lost & Found, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old or have permission from a legal guardian
- Create an account using a valid email address
- Verify your email address using the verification code sent to you
- Accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy
You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity carried out under your account.
4. Service description
4.1 How it works
The service works in three steps:
- Upload: You upload a photo of the item you're looking for
- Analysis: Our AI analyzes the image and looks for visual matches
- Monitoring: The system automatically monitors new listings and alerts you by email
You may also, if you enable it from your dashboard, generate a public shareable link to a search and its results.
4.2 Free offer
The free offer includes:
- One one-time search (single scan)
- Instant results
- No continuous monitoring
To access the free search, you must validate a payment method (credit/debit card) without being charged. This verification helps prevent abuse.
4.3 Paid offer
The paid offer includes:
- 24/7 automated monitoring
- Real-time email alerts
- Tracking dashboard
- Results history
- A public sharing link that can be enabled from the dashboard
5. Pricing
Base subscription
- Monthly: $9.99 / month
- Annual: $59.88 / year (i.e., $4.99 / month)
Includes monitoring for 1 item
Additional items
- Monthly: $4.99 / month per item
- Annual: $29.88 / year per item (i.e., $2.49 / month)
All prices are shown in US dollars (USD). VAT not applicable under Article 293 B of the French Tax Code (CGI).
Automatic promotion upon cancellation
The reduced rate for additional searches ($4.99/month or $29.88/year per item) is conditional on the existence of an active primary subscription on your account. If you cancel or delete your primary search, you must first transfer the primary subscription to another search on your account. The chosen search takes on the standard rate (inherited from the primary subscription). This transfer, and the resulting pricing change, requires your explicit consent via a dedicated confirmation interface. You may choose which search to promote and which billing cycle to apply. If you wish to cancel all your subscriptions, you may first cancel your additional searches, then cancel your primary search freely.
6. Payment
Payments are made by credit/debit card via our secure provider Stripe. We accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
Subscriptions renew automatically at each billing cycle (monthly or annual). You can cancel your subscription at any time from your customer area.
If a payment fails, we will retry your card. After 3 consecutive failures, your monitoring will be suspended until payment is resolved.
7. Right of withdrawal
Under Article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have 14 days from subscription to exercise your right of withdrawal, without giving reasons or paying penalties.
If you ask us to activate monitoring before that period ends, the service may start immediately.
If you then exercise your right of withdrawal after performance has started, you may have to pay an amount proportional to the service already provided until we receive your decision.
Total loss of the right: You lose the right of withdrawal entirely only if the service has been fully performed before the end of the 14-day period, after your express request and prior acknowledgement.

Model withdrawal request
I hereby notify you of my withdrawal from the Lost & Found contract subscribed on [date], concerning search [reference or item]. Full name, email address, date.
8. Cancellation
You can stop monitoring for a search at any time from your customer area or by contacting support.
Depending on the option you choose when stopping it:
- an immediate stop suspends monitoring right away and ends future billing for the relevant search
- a stop at renewal keeps monitoring active until the end of the already-paid period, then turns it off at the next renewal
- no refund is issued for any period already started
- invoices are kept for the statutory retention period and other data follow the Privacy Policy
It is not possible to cancel or delete a search linked to the primary subscription while other active searches at the reduced rate exist on your account. You must first transfer the primary subscription to another search via the confirmation interface presented to you. The chosen search takes on the standard rate, inherited from your primary search. No pricing change will be applied without your explicit consent. If you wish to cancel all your subscriptions, you may first cancel your additional searches, then cancel your primary search without restriction.
9. User obligations
By using Lost & Found, you agree to:
- Use the service only to search for items you legitimately own
- Not upload illegal, offensive, or rights-infringing content
- Not attempt to bypass the service's security measures
- Not use the service for fraudulent or malicious purposes
- Report any relevant result to the appropriate authorities if necessary
- Only generate a public sharing link if you agree to make the item photo, certain search metadata, and the associated results visible to third parties
10. Limitation of liability
Lost & Found is an assistance tool. We do not guarantee:
- That you will recover your item
- That the results actually match your property
- The accuracy or completeness of the results
- Continuous availability of the service
If you locate a potentially stolen item, it is your responsibility to contact the appropriate authorities (police, law enforcement) and follow the applicable legal procedures. Never attempt to recover a stolen item yourself.
To the extent permitted by law, ProStrike is not liable for any direct or indirect damages resulting from use of the service.
11. Intellectual property
All elements that make up the Lost & Found service (software, algorithms, design, text, images, trademarks) are the exclusive property of ProStrike.
The images you upload remain yours. By uploading them, you grant us a limited license to use them solely for providing the service.
12. Data protection
The collection and processing of your personal data are described in our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by French law.
Before any external referral, you must send us a written complaint at support@lostnfound-app.com.
The European online dispute resolution platform (ODR) has been closed since July 20, 2025 and is therefore no longer used as a contact point.
If no amicable solution is found, French courts will have exclusive jurisdiction.
